Jen Farrant is a Creative Freelancer. Writer. Arts Consultant. Photographer.
Jen has over ten years experience in business and three in education as a teacher. She holds a MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths University, qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Chartered Management Institute and a PGCE PCET from the University of East London.
Jen has recently worked part time for Royal Opera House Bridge as the programme manager for Arts Award, as well as freelancing. Her recent freelance work includes a research report for Stagecoach Theatre Arts head office, strategic and creative thinking and implementation of a marketing campaign for Trinity College London for Arts Award Supporter, and planning and delivering on large community arts projects – including working with European partners.
Jen’s postgraduate thesis (2012) investigated the current legislative policy towards art and education and how this is going to affect the country’s economy. Her research suggested the policy will damage the creative industry – one of our fastest growing economies. She enjoyed the research process, collecting data and interviewing various subjects and then drawing together thoughts in order to write the thesis.
